WHEN DID YOU FIRST START PLAYING BASS GUITAR?

My first instrument was actually piano. I started playing the piano at the age of 6, then moved on to guitar, then finally bass guitar in 1999.

 

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST BAND?

“Always-All”, when I was 14. Only 2 band members, myself on electric guitar and my girlfriend Federica on drums.

 

DO YOU PLAY OTHER INSTRUMENTS?

Piano and guitar.

 

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST BASS GUITAR?

A Musicman Sterling.

 

DID YOU EVER GET MUSIC LESSONS?

Yes, piano lessons for about 5 years, then classical guitar lessons for 7 years.

 

WHAT BANDS WERE YOU IN PRIOR TO TOXIC TWINS?

I was playing rhythm guitar with “The Garbages”, original project.

 

HOW DID YOU COME TO FORM TOXIC TWINS?

Frank and I had the idea in 1999 in London, we started recruiting band members and after just over a year we were gigging with the Toxic Twins.

 

WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU CUT SOMETHING IN THE STUDIO?

In 1992 with a classic rock cover band I was in called “Black Dogs”.

Sat 14th Dec 2001 at the Cartoon in Croydon, London, UK.
